About YES Media

Youth Expo Show also known as YES Media (YES TV, YES Radio, and YES Network), is a multimedia organization that empowers youth from Black and disadvantaged communities to focuses on issues that affect the lives of youth, families and their communities.

YES Media was launched in 2008.  That year we received our first grant from Montgomery County and Culture Works and produced our first program.  The 1st show featured:
  • K12 Art Gallery, A museum that teaches inner city youth creative arts.
  • Serious Young Musicans (SYM) - Founder Tumust takes time to talk with us about how the SYM came to be.
  • Dr. Shannetta Sutton, DDS explains the importance of Dental health for young people.
You can watch the first program at: http://yestv.blip.tv/file/1947056/

YES Media utilizes the skills, creativity, intelligence and energy of youth 13 - 21 to produce YES Media programs. The youth are taught how to produce, edit, interview, and research the topics among other media related skills.

 We produce…

* Insightful interviews:  Young reporters interview professionals of every field that affect the lives of youth.  The interviews give guidance and instruction on how young men and women can be successful and happy inwardly and outwardly.

* Exposés: highlight youth and youth organizations in Dayton and surrounding areas.  YES Media brings to the public information that was previously known about the extremely talented youth in Dayton and all the programs youth organizations in Dayton have to offer.

* Narrative Documentary: YES Young produce, with the guidance of industry professionals, informative, entertaining and gripping documentaries.

* Public Service Announcements(PSA's): centered on delivering a strong message around a specific issue or current event and produced for and by young people in collaboration with media partners.

YES Media teaches young people to lead healthy, responsible, independent lives in a culture highly impacted by media.
