Obama and black caucus talk summer jobs for youths

President Obama told the Congressional Black Caucus today that he would try and help them get money for a summer youth jobs program, according to Rep. Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri, who attended the meeting.

   “We need a summer youth jobs program and we need it quickly,” said Cleaver, a Kansas City Democrat who chairs the CBC’s jobs task force. “He obviously couldn’t guarantee that it would happen, he only guaranteed that he would try to make it happen.”  Read more...
